This one was an emotional watch as the surviving teammatesheld court for their once-beloved coach.

But, now he’s forced to come face-to-face with their new way of life.

SOPHIE NELISSE: Not really.

Like you said earlier, we can really just imagine.

It’s pretty easy to imagine how they’ve gotten to this point.

This isYellowjacketsthat we’re watching!

STEVEN KRUEGER: I really didn’t either.

I had some logistical questions about, like, Exactly how far away am I from them?

Just some things like that so I can kind of get into the headspace of an everyday routine.

But no, I’ve said this a few times.

I just think it was a very clever way to progress the story.

Let’s hit the ground running.

Simone Kessell and Melanie Lynskey Talk Yellowjackets

We don’t have to spend an episode or two just getting into how we got here.

Remember when her biggest problem was Jeff?

NELISSE: So I’m the one right next to Lottie on the left side.

What does the door look like?

NELISSE: It has a little curtain in the front.

These are some evergreen questions that I find myself asking every single time we do interviews for another season.

NELISSE: That’s a great question.

I think she respects the most maybe Lottie, ironically.

A wildly talented high school girls' soccer team become the unlucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the Canadian wilderness.

I could see that in Episode 4 when she changes her vote.

So, they start to sort of play off of each other.

I think it’s a very interesting dynamic that’s very subliminal, but that will grow.

Steven, which character on the show does Ben fear the most?

She could literally go in any direction at any time.

It’s like she turns on a dime.

You may expect her to do one thing, and she does the other thing.

The tiniest little thing can set her off.

Yellowjackets

Collider’s Perri Nemiroff sits down with Simone Kessell and Melanie Lynskey to talk Yellowjackets Season 3.

KRUEGER: That’s the nature of our show, right?

was unique, and B.)

it was just something that was kind of unexpected.

It was really poetic.

I think it worked really well.

What’s Going Through Coach Ben’s Mind in Episode 4?

That was an emotional testimony, but did he mean it?

You have that big monologue in Episode 4, and it’s incredible.

It’s so good from start to finish.

Then you have a really long beat where you don’t say anything.

KRUEGER: It’s a good question.

I remember getting to that beat, and it was like I had said everything I needed to say.
