David Letterman, to paraphrase his laudedNetflix talk show, needs no introduction.
I didnt know if the stupid stuff would alienate people.
I didnt know if the traditional stuff would be more appealing.

The fact Almeida’s trick from 1994 stands out is a testament to how impressive it actually is.
The New Jersey native was still in high school in 1994 when she appeared on the show.
She put a piece of gum in her mouth, chewed it, and spit it out.
Only the gum didn’t hit the floor.
It looped upwards and back into Almeida’s mouth.
She did it again.
It legitimately shocked Letterman, who asked, “Have you got a spring loaded into your mouth?!
The affable Letterman was relatable and engaging, having funwithhis everyman guests, not fun at their expense.
He might be a talk show legend, but an actor he is not.
“Stupid Human Tricks” retired with him, as did “Stupid Pet Tricks.
Definitely the right call.
It’s always better to have people abuse themselves on national TV.
