Hes a socialist, a feminist, and a member of the Irish Citizen Army.
This was a group of trade union volunteers who believed in both Irish independence and workers rights.
Through the character of Jimmy,Rebelliondepicts that there were different factions within the movement for independence.
Jimmys mentor is James Connolly (Brian McCardie).
In the hands of a different actor, this part could be forgettable.
But, the young Keoghan already had star power, stealing every scene hes in.
Keoghan plays Cormac McDevitt, a young and eager soldier for the rebellion.
Keoghan plays this bright-eyed enthusiasm very well.
