Chicago February 14th 1929. Al Capone finally establishes himself as the city’s boss of organised crime. In a north-side garage his hoods, dressed as policemen, surprise and mow down with machine-guns the key members of Bugs Moran’s rival gang. The film traces the history of the incident, and the lives affected and in some cases ended by it.
Segal’s character stands in stark contrast to the warm and goofy granddad he playedThe Goldbergs.
Gusenberg suggestively eats a ham sandwich which he uses to entice his girlfriend into having sex with him.
She gladly accepts and uses it as an opportunity to tell him that she bought a $3000 coat.
Gusenberg flips out, smashing his sandwich into her face before physically assaulting her.
Legendary film critic Roger Ebert, in a review for theChicago Sun-Timesgave the film 1.5 out of 5 stars.
