Just this year alone, the filmsWolf ManandCompanionhave essentially concluded their global runs with under $35 million worldwide.
StarringMaika MonroeandNicolas Cage,Longlegsmade nearly $75 million domestically, and around $125 million worldwide.
The Monkey is based on Stephen King’s 1980 short story of the same name. The plot follows twin brothers Hal and Bill, played by Theo James and Christian Convery, who discover a cursed monkey toy in their father’s attic. The toy is linked to a series of gruesome deaths, forcing the brothers to confront its dark power years later.
Like those films,The Monkeyhasreceived positive critical reviews but a mixed audience response.
The movie also featuresTatiana MaslanyandElijah Wood.
Maslany will reunite with Perkins on another horror movie that Neon will release later this year.
