Ana Lucia, a newly introduced character in season 2, was the one who accidentally killed Shannon.

That could mean rescue, of course, or it could lead to other problems.

As a series finale, calling it important for the show overall is a no-brainer.

The hate this episode sometimes gets, as a series finale, is frankly absurd.
