The last several decades have seen plenty of great war shows.
Some viewers might be turned off by this one’s attempts to make him look more sympathetic.

It tells the story of an enduring friendship between two soldiers fighting on opposite sides of the war.

It certainly keeps viewers invested with each episode.
It’s an absolute roller coaster of a show that only gets better and better with every watch.
