It’s how he finished his speech that really elevates it among most others of the 21st century.

It’sa speech that definitely feels rehearsed, but there’s nothing wrong with that whenthe result is so powerful.

This is another instance ofa speech that feels rehearsed but isn’t any less powerful and hard-hitting.

Even still, the one performance that finally earned her that overdue award was a special one.

For it, she became the first Black Woman to win in the Best Actress Oscar category.

She cries, laughs, and then says, “This moment’s so much bigger than me.”

That was the third award of the night for its director,Bong Joon-ho.

The previous two were Original Screenplay and, of course, Best Director.

It’sselfless, self-aware speeches like this onethat go down in Oscars history as some of the best.

Colman won for playing Queen Anne inThe Favourite, and what a well-earned award it is.

To be frank, though, the best part of the whole thing is the acceptance speech.

First,Colman’s reaction is of pure delighted shockwhen she wins.

Then, the way she struggles to gather her words.
