She was charged with two felony counts of domestic battery and one count of neglect of a dependent.
She ultimately served 17 months before being released early.

Leah also expressed frustration over Ambers inconsistency as a parent.

Perhaps most tellingly,Leah admitted shes scared to express her feelings to Amber directly.
People come up to me and they say stuff about Amber," she told Cheyenne.
“They just like know what’s happened and stuff.”
But being a parent isnt optional; there are real consequences for her actions.
“I was told to stay away.
“I want to have my daughter with me.
I would love to have my daughter with me.
I would love to do mom and daughter things.
Its up to her,” she added.
“She doesnt want to be around me at the moment, while shes in therapy.
However, hertone quickly shifted from understanding to complete dismissal.
“Its not trauma.
She doesnt have trauma.
Shes had a rough life, yeah.
But guys, not everything is trauma.
And its not denial.
You cant call that trauma.
I didnt beat her.”
I didnt do anything to her like that.”
You cant sit there and do that with your kids.
We get it Amber is tired of apologizing.
But real accountability isnt about sorry repeatedly; its about changing your behavior.
And so far,Amber has done little to prove shes doing anything differently.
Leah isnt Ambers only child she also has her son, James, with Andrew.
Like Gary before him, Andrew was granted primary custody after a domestic violence incident.
