In Star Trek: Section 31, Emperor Philippa Georgiou, joins a secret division of Starfleet tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets and faces the sins of her past.
Tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, she also must face the sins of her past.
Star Trek: Section 31revolves around Section 31 itself.
By the mid-23rd century, Section 31 was regarded as a highly critical division of Starfleet Intelligence.
Before the series, Section 31 made its first appearance inStar Trek: Deep Space Nine.
However, as director Osunsanmi explains,the road towards the movies realization was a long and tedious one.
“This project was Michelle’s idea.
Then it came together, it fell apart, it came together, it fell apart.
It’s heartbreaking, but you gotta be zen about it.
I just gotta stay patient and hope it comes back around.
1Who Is Making ‘Star Trek: Section 31’?
The show is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment.
Principal photography began in late January in Toronto, withKurtzman announcing that the show was already under way.
