As the sole focus, the attention she garners is the opposite of what she wants.
Mia just refuses to do so.

In part one, she was called out after some unsavory birthday shenanigans on her part.
That is until Stacey showed the receipts.
It’s the same playbook she continually uses.
So, what does she clap back with?
When her back is up against the wall, she cries.
What fabrication can she pull out now?
Sometimes, life doesn’t life, and there are no stories to tell.
For Mia on Season 9, perhaps it was going to be an off-year.
The multiple family-centric narratives have deeper implications that Mia didn’t realize the consequences of.
It’s one thing to talk about them.
It’s another to finally understand that there are other humans involved as well.
Why is she doing this?
To ensure she gets a call for Season 10.
WhileAndy Cohentried to tell her to give herself some grace for her shame spiral, we cant accept that.
Just like the ladies, were fed up with Mia Thornton.
Running away wont cut it.
No longer are the other women allowing her that power.
With Karen Huger having to take accountability for her terrible mistakes, Mia Thornton will have to as well.
There is power in accepting defeat.
Mia could easily take ownership of her flaws and apologize.
Be the bigger person, close this dark chapter, and start anew.
The viewers need to trust Mia.
Stringing along her exes and her children is a vile card to play.
But to her vantage, she has no other options.
