Production onSpider-Man: Homecomingis in the home stretch, and as such the filming has now moved from its base of operations in Atlanta to the streets of New York City for some location shooting.

Given that there are, you know, a lot of people in NYC, some new set photos and videos have arrived of scenes that were shot there recently.

Theyre not super revealing (thankfully) but we do get a peek atTom Hollands Peter Parker attempting a quick costume change, plus some photos of Parker wearing a rather tourist-y shirt.

With the construction of the Pinewood Atlanta studios, Marvel Studios has been shooting more and more of its films down in Georgia.

It allows them to use a bevy of facilities all in one location, plus the tax breaks are mighty enticing.

But when it comes to the streets of New York City, a backlot will only get you so far, which is why directorJon Wattsis doing some location shooting in the Big Apple at the end of theSpider-Man: Homecomingproduction schedule.

Movie

Despite the fact that this is a Marvel film (produced and distributed by Sony Pictures), we actually know quite a bit about the movie thus far.

Its a high school set story, with the intention of continuing to tell high school stories in future movies a la theHarry Potterfranchise.Michael Keatonis playing the films villain, Vulture.

AndRobert Downey Jr.has a not-insubstantial role in the film as Tony Stark given that it was Stark who discovered and recruited Peter Parker in the first place during the events ofCaptain America: Civil War.

Ill be curious to see how well the film captures the NYC spirit given that the majority of production took place in Atlanta, but Marvels been doing this for a while with a pretty stellar track record, so Im not exactly worried.
