Good news for fans of the long-running legacy ofDick Wolf, the mad who has brought us countess episodes of crime drama, mostly through variousLaw & Orderseries.

NBC has given a fourteenth season order toLaw & Order: SVU, which means we’ll get plenty more crime drama with big name guest stars (easily the best part of the series) committing violent crimes across the board.

In addition, for those who may not be fans of justice in the form ofLaw & Order, there’s a new series coming from Wolf which it’s possible for you to read more about after the jump.

PerDeadline, NBC has apparently also made a series order forChicago Fire, a firefighter drama exploring the complex and heroic men and women of the Chicago Fire Department.

It may not be the most original idea on TV as various series have dealt with almost all the emergency response professions, but coming from Dick Wolf, this could be something great, especially withHouse M.D.starJesse Spencerleading a cast of relatively unknown stars leading it that include:Eamonn Walker, Taylor Kinney, Monica Raymund, David Eigenberg, Charlie Barnett, Lauren German, Teri ReevesandMerle Dandridge.

Hopefully it sticks around longer thanThe Chicago Code, a police drama fromThe ShieldcreatorShawn Ryanthat was sorely underrated and cancelled all too soon

There’s likely plenty more on the way from Wolf at NBC as the TV giant has also signed a new deal to keep his programming at the web link for a little while longer, including some sort of new reality series down the road.

Maybe it puts people in situations where they have to deal with law and order in “real life” this time?

It’s reality TV, so we’re not all that interested, but stay tuned for more onChicago Fireand other forthcoming new series for the fall season as the upfronts are inching closer.
