According to a new report fromVariety, Amazon is developing a live-action series focusing onSpider-Man Noir.

Oren Uzielwill write the Spider-Man Noir series while also serving as an executive producer.

He has also worked on the scripts for upcoming releasesJohn Wick 4and the live-action adaptation ofBorderlands.

The Spider-Man Noir comics originally debuted in 2009 as part of Marvel’s Noir universe.

He then has visions of a spider god who grants him superpowers.

The character previously appeared onscreen in the animated seriesUltimate Spider-Manvoiced byMilo Ventimiglia.

His most prolific appearance came inInto the Spider-Verse, where he was voiced byNicolas Cage.

The Amazon series will be the first live-action appearance of Spider-Man Noir.

Sony has also released live-action films centered around other Spider-Man characters, such asVenomstarringTom HardyandMorbiuswithJared Leto.
