He’s an adequate filmmaker, but so much of his filmography is fast-paced action movies of little substance.
Make it happen, Netflix.
A queen seeks to obtain the power to shape-shift and enlists the sorceress Gray Alys to venture into the perilous Lost Lands to retrieve it. Gray Alys, accompanied by a guide named Boyce, faces deadly creatures and treacherous landscapes. The journey challenges their resolve and reveals the true cost of the queen’s desire.
That’s what holdsIn the Lost Landsback as well.
From the very first minute, all excitement is crushed by thedizzying amount of CGI and green screens.
Anderson being lazy to the point of unconsciousness.
Anything practical is dismissed, and you may as well be watching a video game.
From playing Drax inGuardians of the Galaxyto being a complicated villain inM.
Night Shyamalan’sKnock at the Cabin,the former WWE Champion has shown that he is multi-faceted.
Dave Bautista is far more than just some muscle-bound action hero.
It’s frustrating because you could see that Jovovich and Bautista have chemistry.
Anderson deciding to go all-in on CGI and not practical at least somewhat is also disappointing.
It’s an opportunity lost.
