It’s heartbreaking for fans who loved Foggy from the previous three seasons and other Marvel Netflix shows.

That said,an important character’s death would’ve benefited from a more sufficient buildup.
It sounded like the trio had gone into business again and perhaps created a new law firm.
Did she completely quit her work as an ace reporter?

It would have proven beneficial to get some clarity and answers to those questions before Foggy died.
By the second episode, “Optics,” Matt still has not resumed his mantle as Daredevil.
It resembles the early parts ofThe Punisherin Seasons 1 and 2.
Coincidentally,Born AgainshowrunnerDario Scardapanewas also a writer and executive producer on the Marvel NetflixPunisherseries.
That would completely defeat the purpose of havingan episodicDaredeviltelevision series.
Criticisms aside, along withFoggy’s shocking and tragic passing, the first two episodes are exceptionally well done.

It’s unknown inwhat capacity Foggy will reappear in Season 2.
There was an instance in the Marvel comics where Foggy was stabbed and presumably killed inDaredevil #82in 2006.
It was later revealed thatFoggy faked his death to go into witness protection.
