This wasnt a gritty recreation ofTeen TitanslikeTitans, or a less-comic-bookyArchielikeRiverdale.
Its a genius move, if you ask me (nobody asked).
This, in turn, makesPowerpuffmore of a sequel series of sorts.
Bymaking it seem they pre-existed the animated show,a campy canvasof cartoonish and real-life elements was put together.
On one hand, prefs like Dr. Utoniums (Donald Faison) house looked identical.

The Talent in Powerpuff Made For a Mix Worth Watching
Powerpuffs cast was full of heavy hitters.
With Bennet having starred as Daisy Johnson (a.k.a.
Rounding up the cast was Faisons Dr. Utonium.
And, lets not forgetthe show was written by Academy Award winnerDiablo Codyherself!
Production on the pilot started in spring 2021, but it was halted shortly after to rework the concept.
After that, the show made the news in three main instances.
Once, when the script for the pilot was leaked online.
Finally, two whole years later, the show was confirmed to have been cancelled.
AsKristen Johnstons Lexi would say, No ones fun anymore, whatever happened to fun?
The campyPowerpufftrailer seemed an awful lot of fun, but it also had a lot more against it.
Still, some remakes are meant to complement the place where they came from.
And in that sense,Powerpuffwasnt aiming to disregardThe Powerpuff Girls.
