Even beyond that, Finn doesnt get a story arc beyond saying Wheres Rey?
If Palpatine was brought back from the dead once, whos to say he wont be again?
Why even try killing him again?

10.Episode I - The Phantom Menace
Anticipationwas at a fever pitchforThe Phantom Menacewhen it came out.
And why wouldnt it be?
How, why, and when did Anakin Skywalker turn to the dark side?

The possibilities were endless!
Even the opening sequence with Qui-Gon Jinn and a young Obi-Wan Kenobi is devoid of any excitement or tension.
The lines are delivered entirely flat, theres no sense of danger, no sense of intrigue.

Things just happen on a screen, one after another, as plainly as possible until the credits roll.
ThatsThe Phantom Menacein a nutshell.
Watching Lucas attempt an honest-to-goodness love story withHayden ChristensenandNatalie Portmanis straight-up painful.

The result is the worst performance of the prequels, and thats saying something.
Christensens delivery is wooden, unnatural, and strained.
And the less said about that Boba Fett origin story nonsense the better.
