Nora is a rather one-note character that stands out because of her larger-than-life persona.

Like Curtis,this Oscar is very obviously a career winand one of the most underwhelming at that.

Under Spielberg’s direction, DeBose is the undeniable star ofWest Side Story.

Randolph excels in the role because she findsthe perfect middle point between tragedy and dark, bleak comedy.
