Yet, I think this shift in their dynamic seems to be equally toxic.
In an attempt torespect his Turkish culture, Shekinahfollowed his lead for a while.
But slowly but surely, Shekinah began standing up for herself and speaking up when Sarper wronged her.
She wouldn’t let the small mistakes slide.
I do think it’s important for couples to set healthy boundaries.
It’s important for couples to compromise in a mutually beneficial way.
They both have some growth and healing to dobefore they can really thrive as a duo.
Is anyone really getting anything out of this?
But Sarper found a woman who’s changed the way he thinks and feels about dating in general.
Instead, she seems dismissive and redirects him to her own desires instead of finding a middle ground.
Their relationship started with Sarper being the more self-centered one.
